Measurement System for Imaging

The PPS+ can be used as an imaging measuring system, except for flatness measurements. It is suitable for producing images of surfaces across the entire width of a lane. This is intended to capture information on the currently used TP3, substance features (on the surface).

Digital cameras, taking front and back images in HD quality every 10 m, are used for further interpretations, plausibility checks and environment examinations.

In the broader sense, GPR can also be regarded as an additional imaging method, since it is used to generate images of the road structure.
